Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the DockLab desktop application and its online services (account sync, collaboration, plugin marketplace), provided under the Legacies brand by Horia Stan, an individual based in Romania ("we", "us"). Contact: contact@legacies.ro. By installing DockLab or creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. The service
DockLab is an SSH terminal, SFTP client, remote editor, integrated browser and AI assistant. The core application is free to use. Optional paid add-ons (such as premium plugins) may be offered with their own pricing shown before purchase.
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your password safe.
- Synced data is end-to-end encrypted with your password. If you lose your password, your synced credentials cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may only connect DockLab to systems you are authorized to access. You agree not to use the service to violate any law, to attack or gain unauthorized access to third-party systems, to distribute malware through the plugin marketplace, or to disrupt the service (e.g. abuse of the sync or telemetry endpoints).
4. Your data and content
You retain all rights to your data. We process it only as described in the Privacy Policy. Plugins you install run inside the application with access to its plugin API; install plugins only from sources you trust.
5. AI features
AI features use API keys you supply and send the prompts you choose to the corresponding AI provider. Their output may be inaccurate; review commands before executing them. You are responsible for what you run on your servers.
6. Third-party services
SSH servers you connect to, AI providers, and payment processing for paid add-ons are operated by third parties under their own terms.
7. Warranty disclaimer
DockLab is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the app or the sync service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of DockLab. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (zero for free usage). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under Romanian and EU consumer law.
9. Termination
You may stop using DockLab and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service, with notice where practicable. Upon termination your synced data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. EU consumers retain the protections of their country of residence; disputes may be brought before the courts of your residence or Romania. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
